Emil: I've known your sister for half of her life.
Me: Oh yeah, that's right. By next year you'll have known her for 8 years.
Emil: Yup. Crazy.
Me: Dang that also means we will be celebrating 8 years together. Oh my god... Such a long time!
Emil: Yup! But that's nothing!

We are builders
My trip to Asia was short and sweet. I went with my boyfriend and his family. We stayed in the Philippines for 2 days, Hong Kong for 3… and the rest was spent on the plane. It was the first time in 24 years since I’ve been to the Philippines. So I tried to soak in as much as I could in 2 days. It was definitely a humbling experience seeing the split between the rich and poor....
